ABOUT THE CONVENTION
International Halal Certification Bodies recognised by JAKIM are institutions appointed by JAKIM to ratify halal status of raw materials, critical ingredients, meat and animal based products to be imported in Malaysia.
At the Halal Certification Bodies Convention, you will be able to meet up and engage with participating Halal Certification Bodies around the world including representation by muftis, halal auditors and relevant Halal authorities in the halal industry during the two-day program.
To strengthen and promote the credibility of Malaysia as a leading Halal global.

What are the Other Contents of This Year’s Convention?
This year’s event will be an additional of a new component itinerary, where JAKIM will also organize the 1st International Halal Technical Capacity Development Programme (IHTCDP) in conjunction with the 8th Halal Certification Bodies Convention (HCBC) from 3rd – 4th April 2017 at Sama-Sama Hotel, Sepang Selangor as well.
Generally, The HCBC will have the paper presentation (including domestic and international presenter) and the discussion related to the policy matters at the global level. This year HCBC will also open to other related agency or organization. The HCBC aims 500 participants including of all the head and chairman of the agency or organization as well as experts of the halal industry, scholars and etc.
IHTCDP as the new component of this year’s event aims 300 participants where the participation from the CB’s auditors, industry representative and the regulators on the field will be considered first. The IHTCDP will resume separately but parallel with the HCBC and will be divided into three sessions. Each session is open approximately to 100 participants (first come first serve basis). The participants of this session will be given hands on activities on understanding the Malaysia’s requirements and practices in issuing the halal certificate and the implementations of Halal audits.
8th Halal Certification Bodies Convention is expected to attract Certification Bodies and Industries from around the world.
